Many of us are at a loss as to why this council won’t consider other
options besides taking over downtown parking lots.
You have failed to let our citizens know the cost to replace the over 500
parking spaces: $26million to 40
million dollars.
It is very discouraging to me and many other residents how little you care
about the results of your project.
Loss of parking
Loss of business and tax revenue
Total disruption to the downtown during construction, road closures,
detours, noise, pollution.
Design of the buildings and how their height will impact our small town feel
Disruption in the real estate market
Boarded up stores
No parking for residents of the new buildings
I wish I knew why you are so committed to this project and why you won’t
consider other options.
I want low income housing—-in another area of Menlo Park that doesn’t ruin
downtown for everyone.
Please reconsider other options.
Sincerely
Ellen McLennan
