Hello City Council members,
I would like to add my name to those who are very strongly opposed to the plan to develop the 3 parking lots near Santa Cruz and Oak Grove avenues for high-rise buildings. I am in favor of providing low-cost housing in the local area, but replacing heavily used parking lots in our small downtown area, with hundreds of residential units in high-rise buildings seems to me a truly terrible idea for the city Ive lived in for 30 years now. Please consider the options in the link below, which would not create gridlock and overcrowding right in the center of our town, by removing those heavily used parking lots I use almost every week while visiting our local businesses like Ace Hardware, Walgreens, and others.
