I fully support the development of much needed affordable housing in the
downtown Menlo Park area, and fully support the innovative idea of
developing these on several parking lots. This will bring revitalization to
the uninspiring Santa Cruz high street. Parking is not an issue downtown,
and if planned correctly will not become an issue. Mixed use development in
this area will encourage more foot traffic and business to increase in the
area, and instead of half empty commercial real estate, more businesses
will be inspired to open up shop and outnumber the rug stores.
My family of four fully supports this effort. Lets plan it and implement
it well, and all will reap the benefits.
