Dear Council:
As long as you continue to consider elimination of downtown parking spaces in favor of affordable housing, any statement that downtown business in Menlo Park is a priority is at best hypocritical and at worst arguably fraudulent. Even with numerous vacancies downtown, parking is already in short supply. Finding an open space is akin to playing the lottery. Substitution of housing for parking would not only doom existing businesses dependent on nearby short term parking, but preclude thefilling of empty spaces.
