Good afternoon,
While I am unfortunately unable to join the city council meeting this
evening, I wanted to write in support of the proposed downtown housing
development, without the proposed changes to the RFP that would discourage
many applications and potentially render any future project unfeasible.
I spoke at a previous meeting to say how much I appreciated being able to
live near to downtown Menlo Park when I first moved to this country, and
how much I enjoyed living somewhere where car ownership was not a
requirement. Development on the proposed downtown sites, walking distance
from shops and the Caltrain station, would give that same opportunity to
many more people.
