I am writing in opposition to your plan to move forward with the redevelopment of the parking plazas to allow for housing construction. I have been a resident of Menlo Park for 28 years and have seen many changes, but this housing initiative is surely one of the most ill considered. Repurposing the parking plazas will irrevocably destroy the character of downtown. If this is not your intent, I urge you to reconsider.
