[City of Palo Alto and Santa Clara County Updates] Urging the Community to Stay Home, This Will Save Lives Please do your part to keep our whole community safe, we are in this together. Closures - Please Help Us Keep You Safe The Santa Clara County District Attorney’s Office has confirmed that tennis and pickleball courts are considered “public gathering spaces,” and as such, their closure is warranted by the Santa Clara County Public Health Department’s Shelter in Place Order. The closure of the courts is consistent with our collective desire to keep our community as safe and healthy as possible. Restrooms and drinking fountains at the City’s open space preserves are also now closed. Please respect and abide by these closures and refrain from entering closed areas. Damaging or destroying City property is a misdemeanor. Palo Alto Police officers will be investigating damage to City property. Palo Alto Unified School District took similar measures and closed its recreational facilities. City parks and open space reserves remain open at this time. For all closures and other details, go to the City’s Service Changes page https://cityofpaloalto.us7.list-manage.com/track/click?u=5bb3b762047926b143fbbee55&id=c4236e1c50&e=f8f6d11008 >.
