Dear City Council, I just finished volunteering at a Second Harvest Food Bank food distribution. The number of families that showed up increased 50% in the last two weeks. I feel like many of these families are not going to benefit from the Cares Act. I also understand the City of Palo Alto considers construction on a city parking garage essential. I understand the gravity of situation that we are living through. Many of the families that I served today need to get back to work. I am wondering if there is anyway that partial construction could resume in Menlo Park safely. Maybe reduce workers by 75% rather than 100%. I am not in the construction business nor do I have any vested interest in any project. It was just very hard to see so many people suffering.
