Dear Menlo Park City Council, I hope you all are safe and healthy. I noticed that in tomorrow's agenda the topic of possibly eliminating the Menlo Children's Center (MCC) was up for discussion in order to relieve some of the budget concerns that COVID-19 has caused. Eliminating this service would put city residents already dealing with the hardships caused by COVID-19 in a horrible position where they would need to scramble to find new child care in an already very competitive environment. As a resident of Menlo Park, I would like to urge you to consider a different city service to eliminate. My son has attended MCC since he was 18 months old. As a full time working parent, I can't express how difficult it is to find affordable, reliable childcare that you can trust your children to be safe and loved by the staff. Thank you for taking the time to read my email. Sincerely, Nora Dunn Received on Mon May 11 2020 - 16:00:59 PDT
