Dear Menlo Park City Council, I hope you are safe and healthy. I saw that in on the agenda the topic of possibly eliminating the Menlo Children's Center (MCC) was up for discussion in order to relieve some of the budget concerns that COVID-19 has caused. Removing this service would put city residents already dealing with the hardships caused by COVID-19 in a horrible position where they would need to scramble to find new child care in an already very competitive environment. I urge you to consider a different city service to eliminate. My daughter has attended MCC since she was 18 months old. I can't express how difficult it is to find affordable, reliable childcare that you can trust your children to be safe and loved by the staff. Thank you for taking the time to read my email.
