I’m in favor of converting Downtown Santa Cruz Ave into a pedestrian area for at least the summer and fall, in order to allow restaurants to provide adequate distance in seating the number of customers that makes their businesses viable. Future planning may need to consider making some of the back parking lots into two story structures but, as a pandemic response, I’m in favor of doing this immediately.
