Good afternoon, City Council members,
As you take up the important work of reviewing Menlo Parks five year capital plan at tonights meeting, please ensure that finishing the Middle Avenue Complete Streets project is funded and included in your planning, so that we have fulfilled our goal to make this corridor safe for all users. Specifically, as you know, we were not able to address the gaps in the sidewalk
on Middle Ave this year due to a lack of funding. As a result, there is no continuous sidewalk on Middle Ave, and seniors, parents with strollers, and other pedestrians, have to step into the road where there are gaps in the sidewalk.
Please lets complete the safety improvements on Middle Ave and make it safe and walkable for pedestrians.
