I’d like to echo and reinforce what my neighbor and friend is saying below. Let’s go carbon free! One decision at a time, starting tonight!
Warmly,

Subject: Microgrid, EV Charging & All-Electric New Community Center in Belle Haven
To: >
Hello Honorable Mayor and Councilmembers -
I'm writing to strongly urge you to support and approve the critical carbon-free enhancements to our new Belle Haven Community Center this evening. Our great green City has the unique opportunity to design, construct, operate and learn from a model facility that can help pace-set for similar centers across the country and world, should you approve these investments. Our community has been slow to expand its leadership on fully decarbonized building codes and policies. You can change that tonight, by advancing a building that can teach the benefits of advanced, clean, all-electric, renewable-powered technology directly for all to visit, connect, recreate and explore.
The latest IPCC Report, termed the "Code Red for Humanity," describes the state of our climate peril and should serve as a call to action to all of us, including those in community leadership positions, to take every action we can to address this crisis. Tonight is a night for action, please choose the right one for the residents of Belle Haven, the citizens of Menlo Park and all others who need leaders to commit to and take the bold action our climate requires, every chance they can.
With humility and hope to swim, dance and charge carbon-free -
Erin Cooke, Resident of Allied Arts
