Dear City Council Members,
As a young adult who grew up in Menlo Park and hopes to make a home of my
own here, I thank you for supporting new homes, sustainable and
transit-forward development, and modern parking solutions on Menlo Parks
city-owned parking lots.
I urge you to place the proposed measure on the November 2026 general
election ballot rather than calling for a March special election. This will
save costs and ensure higher voter turnout. Everyone ought to have a say in
what the future of Menlo Park looks like—because voter turnout is almost
three times higher in a general election than in a special election, a
measure on the November ballot will better reflect the will of Menlo Park
voters.
