Hello Council,
I strongly encourage the Council to follow the detailed recommendations of the Planning Commission concerning item H3 and staff report (#26-078-CC). It is imperative that we ensure that our local policies remain fully compliant with the requirements outlined in Senate Bill 79(SB 79). Additionally, I ask that the full proceedings from the Planning Commission meeting on the 27th be considered. Reviewing their over three hour deliberation provides invaluable insight and necessary input as the Council moves toward its final decision. There is no reason for the city to have any parts of downtown excluded from SB79, and as the planning commission recommends that no exclusions are made I hope that you follow their recommendation.
