Dear Planning Commissioners,
As a long-time resident of Menlo Park, I fully support the proposed
downtown zoning changes along Santa Cruz Ave. I am tired of seeing so many
vacant properties for so long. This is a problem. Were the only town
along the peninsula with such an abundance of vacancies and a clear remedy
exists. I love to support businesses in my own town, as I know many other
residents do.
The current zoning is too restrictive and contributes to vacancies.
Allowing a broader range of businesses and more flexible use of downtown
spaces would help revitalize downtown Menlo Park.
