Question for All Developers and Council members:
Based on the research I provided to you on parking ramp usage: ( see attached photos)
Answer this question at June 2, 2026 in writing:
How is a 5+/- level stacked parking ramp actually "Replacement Parking", if in real life, on a busy weekday at 3 pm, in Palo Altos Bryant Street parking ramp:
Out of 500 ramp spaces, 250 spaces are vacant (effectively unusable)
And at the same time, in the Sherman ramp, 350 of 636 spaces are unused ?
My assumption:
if the developers build a stacked ramp with 500 +/- parking spaces, it is actually only serving 250+/- users; the remaining 250 spaces are realistically unusable.
This is a serious flaw in planning.
Abandon this plan and look elsewhere.
