Hi To Whom it May Concern,
Writing to bring attention to the proposed development of the lot (517 Woodland?) next Willow’s market. To my understanding the development would bring a commercial building to an already congested section of Middlefield. This section of Middlefield has safety concerns with traffic congestion and poorly constructed intersection at Woodland/Palo Alto Ave and Middlefield affecting safety for pedestrians and cyclists. Some of the safety concerns are due to the due to lack of a sidewalk in front of Willow’s market and absence of a safe crosswalk across Middlefield from Woodland and Palo Alto Ave. I would like to see a review of this section of Middlefield for greater safety for pedestrians and cyclists and reduction of traffic congestion.
My thoughts of development alternatives would be a park for the lot next to the Willows market and not adding traffic to an already overly congested area. Furthermore, would like alternative routes, for example, a pedestrian bridge across San Francisquito creek between Lexington Dr Menlo Park to Fulton St Palo Alto; I have also raised similar concerns with the county.
Thank you for your attention on this!
