Dear Mayor and Members of the Menlo Park City Council,
I am writing to express my strong support for Habitat for Humanity Greater
San Francisco’s proposed affordable homeownership project at 335 Pierce
Road.
Affordable housing is desperately needed in our community, and I believe
this project will provide hardworking individuals and families with the
opportunity to achieve stability and build a better future through
homeownership.
As a person living with a disability, I understand firsthand how difficult
it can be to find safe, stable, and affordable housing. Access to
affordable homeownership would make a tremendous difference in my life and
in the lives of many others who are facing similar challenges.
I respectfully ask that you approve this project, including the requested
Recreation In-Lieu Fee waiver, so that Habitat for Humanity can move
forward with providing these much-needed homes.
I would also like to express my interest in being considered for affordable
housing opportunities through Habitat for Humanity or any other programs
that become available as a result of this project. I would appreciate any
information you can provide about how I can apply or be placed on an
interest list.
