Dear Council,
I've been swimming laps at Menlo Park pools for over a quarter decade. Your pools are one of the most well run, community focused, health oriented services I've experienced in my six decades of swimming. The pool staff is nothing but extraordinary in the eyes of this pool user. I thank you for that. You hire quality, competent management who hire the most kind, caring and efficient staff. When I recently learned that Tim Sheeper and the Council were having difficulty finding common ground I was quite frankly shocked. There are no visible signs of service inefficiency by the public. Only deeply caring people.
Personally, I do not know Tim, but recognize him visually from past news media stories. I've seen the man a dozen times wiping down the Men's bathroom sink and tidying up the place despite his likely enormous responsibilities. This did not demonstrate to me a man untrustworthy or better than his employees, just someone who cares.
Please take these brief words as encouragement to understand the public's deep respect for Tim Sheeper, not just for the work he does, but his dedication to the Menlo Park pool community all these incredible years.
