I support the Grand Boulevard Initiative and I appreciate your attention to
this effort.
I would like to urge Council to request staff to speed up the timeline on
improvements to ECR. We cant wait until Caltrans repaving plan in
2030-something. I would like to support the concept of a quick build
effort, specifically from the Palo Alto border to Roble Ave. That will give
us a chance to measure the change in ridership, density, accidents, etc, so
that we have real data and can make informed decisions.
Improving this portion of a major thoroughfare meshes precisely with both
the citys Vision Zero goals as well as our priority of Safe Routes.
