Dear Menlo City council:
I am very concerned about the proposed mega-towers project at the old
Sunset Magazine site next to the creek at 80 Willow road.
Multiple issues abound:
- Traffic on Willow road AM/PM -- is already untenable! The backup can
block me from getting to/from highway 101 backing up for as much as 1 hour
(recently) to get from my residential home two blocks away from the
Middlefield/Willow road stop light to the 101 interchange - this from
2:35PM - 3:35PM! This is the proposed site of the multiple mega-tower
complex. How is it even possible to plan and even consider approving this
project on this fact alone!
- The wild San Francisquito creek would be along side this proposed
project, and has a wild steelhead run annually, along with increased
flooding in recent years. This would be an environmental disaster on
multiple counts. Based on this one issue alone, you should not even
consider approving this project as it impacts wild steelhead, and
residential neighborhood safety in two counties (San Mateo and Santa Clara)
and not just Menlo Park residents locally but also Palo Alto ones!
PLEASE DO NOT APPROVE THIS MEGA TOWER PROJECT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES!
