We all know that this project is out of scale for the area. A high rise in
an area with only 2 story residential houses and offices. Absurd! Also this
is adjacent to San Franscisquito Creek so I would think it would not pass
an Environmental Impact Review. Where are the environmentalists on this
one? If the city council allows this to happen it will be a black eye on
the city and every member of the council. I am also shocked that the
residents of Palo Alto arent objecting given its on the border and will
overlook Palo Alto including my fathers house on Palo Alto Avenue. I can
tell you he does object to it and so do I. Born and raised in Palo Alto,
lived in Menlo Park since 1986, and expect change but not this! Dont let
this happen. The builders remedy should have never been passed by the
state and each City should sue the state over it. Why should we overcrowd
our cities to make room for more people when the infrastructure doesnt
support it. Its ridiculous and impractical. Provide low income housing for
the service industry and schools that make low wages and serve the
community. Not a high rise money grab for this Developer.
