To the Menlo Park City Council:
I am adding my voice to the opposition to the proposed project at 80 Willow
Road. As has been said, this project is overkill for our area, with
expected high traffic increase, lack of added affordable housing, and more
office space that might serve people outside of Menlo Park instead of
local residents.
My home on Baywood Avenue is, possibly, in the shadow zone of a skyscraper
built at 80 Willow Road. That facetious statement withstanding, I am firmly
opposed to the proposed project, and urge the city council to oppose
the current project and the California State Attorney Generals blanket
statement that the project is OK. I feel if he lived in its impending
shadow, he would feel differently,
