I live on Santa Monica Avenue, just a few blocks from Middlefield and
Willow roads, and I am writing to express my deep concern about the
proposed development there.
The scope, size and look of the project is outrageously out of line with
any other buildings outside of a major city--these buildings are extreme,
and do not belong in this setting. I am in favor of building more housing
as needed, but this project is not acceptable.
We lack sufficient infrastructure near the project. We already experience
terrible traffic, especially during rush hour, and this development will
surely make it unbearable to get around near my home.
The potential environmental and safety impact on this sensitive site right
next to the San Francisquito Creek is problematic as well.
I was sad to see Sunset Magazine leave this historic site, but I am
horrified at the possibility that this monstrous project could replace it.
