Dear members of the Menlo Park City Council,
We are 46-year residents of Menlo Park, living in the Willows. We strongly oppose the proposed Willow Towers N17 development for the following reasons:
l. The scale of the buildings are way out of character in this area, massively out of scale for the community, and do not belong there.
2. Traffic is already so difficult on Willow Road and Middlefield Road. The result would be disastrous for the community.
3. There would not be enough parking available for residents in the area.
4. Heavy traffic would impact Middlefield and Willow Road evacuation routes, thus causing danger to our community.
5. Many children pass through this intersection on their way to school, Burgess Park Recreation Center, and the Library. This increase in traffic would be especially difficult and dangerous to them.
6. This new development could ruin the landscape of our beautiful community. It just DOES NOT belong there.
We encourage the Council to oppose this plan.
We support only responsible development at 80 Willow Road.
Any new development should align with Menlo Park’s approved housing development plan.
