I wish to register my opposition the the proposed project at 80 Willow Road. I believe we should resist bullying efforts by the developer even if that risks a lawsuit by them.
My understanding of the “Builders’ remedy” is that it is meant to coerce local governments to file plans that satisfy state housing development requirements. The problem to be solved is lack of affordable housing; housing needed by people with jobs in the area.
The driving force in the problem is that local business accommodation and local housing development are out of balance. The proposed project at 80 Willow Rd. will just make things worse! Office space for more workers than the added housing can accommodate!
