Honorable Council members,
The staff proposal before you tonight emphasizes bicycle safety at the expense of neighborhood parking. While safety is always important, it is a lot to ask of a neighborhood to give up all street parking.
More specifically, the option to remove a driveway from the Shell station is a poor one. When I use that station (or others of similar layout) it is important to be able to both enter and exit either upstream or downstream for internal circulation. Removal of one of the MIddle Ave driveways would be a poor compromise.
