To Whom It May Concern:
My name is Mollie Pedigo. I am employee at Draeger’s Market at 1010 University Avenue in Menlo Park. This is my sixth year as an employee. I am writing about the intersection of Menlo Avenue and University Drive. Something in regards to a safe crossing such as a light or flashing crosswalk lights such as the one on Santa Cruz Avenue and Johnson St near Menlo Church.
There have been many instances of people in the crosswalks getting hit and almost getting hit because the drivers sometimes fail to stop for the pedestrians. There have been three people (the third one happened tonight) who work at Draeger’s and I think some customers too that have been hit and I and I’m sure others have almost been hit crossing the street. There are orange crossing flags at the crosswalk but I think that something else needs to be installed such as a stop light or the crosswalk flashing lights.
Can you please do something about this so that it will be safe for people to cross the crosswalk. Thank you for your time and consideration.
