City Council Members,
I strongly endorse Maria Doerr for the District 5 City Council Appointment. I am a resident of District 5 and the previous chair and member of the Environmental Quality Commission here in Menlo Park for several years.
Maria brings a wealth of knowledge to the city as a former Strategy Consultant with Redstone Strategy Group, a consulting firm with an excellent reputation supporting NGOs, as well as her current role as an independent consultant on sustainability projects for both NGO and governmental organizations.
As we see regularly, the impact of climate change on our community is significant. The most recent storms and flooding are an example. While climate may not be only a city issue, it impacts every city resident. Therefore, we need Marias expertise on City Council.
