The proposed elimination or reduction in the parking available on Middle Avenue in Menlo Park is of great concern to me. As a volunteer at Rosener House, and a board member of Peninsula Volunteers, I am frequently at the Rosener House facility. The caregivers of our participants use the very small parking lot adjacent to the facility to park and escort the Rosener House participants to the facility. There is already competition for parking from the dog owners and sport attendees who use the adjacent park and parking lot.
Rosener House serves a population of elders with reduced physical and mental abilities. Restricting the parking on Middle Avenue would impact the already limited parking adjacent to the building and thus putting at risk the vulnerable senior population. This is a very short sighted proposal and one that I do not support.
