I have been swimming at Burgess pool since 1984. I suffered through gross incompetence from the original Menlo staff (irregular opening hours, poor pool maintenance, homeless defecating in the shower to name just a few). I have tried pools in Palo Alto, Mt. View and the JCC in Palo Alto. I can assure you that the Sheeper run pool is the best in the Bay Area, They are open on time, pool is heated to the correct temperature, the locker rooms are clean and well organized and the showers work. The staff is always polite and helpful and I am always recognized by them. Sheeper has created a fantastic mix of opportunities from Aquafit, to lessons to lap swimming to camp. Going to the pool is a daily experience. While I have to be aware of the planned activities, I am always able to find a lane in the pool.
Looking at the alternative presented again Sheeper reveals a complete misunderstanding of the pool mgt. Opening at 10 am daily is ludicrous as is using another service that cant provide the experience and quality that Sheeper has.
Please feel free to contact me as a Sheeper reference and dont make an irrational decision to another vendor. If it isnt broken, dont fix it!
