The addition of outdoor dining on Santa Cruz Ave. has been a great success. First started by the City when Covid had all but shut down commerce on Santa Cruz Ave., restaurants were allowed to move into the street so diners could enjoy them in relative safety. Covid has become somewhat less deadly thanks to vaccines, boosters and Paxlovid. But Covid is still with us and many appreciate our outdoor dining not only as a safer option but as a very enjoyable experience. Soon the weather will be warmer and the street eateries will be filled with people. So will the Wednesday Bonne Marche market. Please allow outdoor dining to continue to thrive and delight residents and guests of all ages.
