Greetings Educators, Decision Makers, Water Leader, and Interested Water Folk,
Are you looking for engaging K-12 educational materials that will support your students understanding of the importance of water, water conservation and water resources in California? The California Department of Water Resources (DWR) has prepared free educational materials for all 10 hydrological regions in the state. The materials include lessons and activities that are easily adaptable to a variety of school and classroom settings while conforming to the 2016 Science Framework for California schools, STEM education standards and Californias Next Generation Science Standards.
Access the new educational materials in English are now on DWRs Underrepresented Communities Technical Assistance Program webpage. Spanish versions are on the way!
Water is one of our most precious resources and while we at DWR are doing all we can to deliver water to millions of Californians, it is also our hope to keep our young people educated about how water shapes all our lives and how we can all make conservation a California way of life.
