Re: Clockworks Restaurant 961 El Camino Real
Honorable Mayor and City Council:
On April 10, 2023, the City of Menlo Park Planning Commission unanimously approved this restaurant at 961 El Camino Real (Clockworks) adjacent to the Guild Theater.
I write as a resident, former City Councilmember and Mayor to express my strong support and enthusiasm for this project.
Please don’t kill this project.
This project will be an asset to our community. The restaurant brings renewal to El Camino Real and allows for a new, vibrant eating space with small scale live entertainment designed both to compliment and enhance Menlo Park residents’ experience at the Guild, as well as provide a second venue with acoustic music in a promising young entertainment district.
This project addresses a community need and invaluably, is just plain fun.
Please don’t kill a great project or make it overly difficult to complete.
