Dear Council Members and Planning Commission:
I am writing to express my enthusiastic support for The Clockworks Restaurant. My husband, Tom Still, and I are long time Menlo Park residents. My roots are deep as my mother graduated from MA in 1955!
We were early supporters of The Guild and have greatly enjoy attending shows there 3-4 times a month. The Guild has enhanced our enjoyment of our lovely town beyond measure. The folks who run The Guild are a class act and have really delivered on a quality product. I can attest that just about every musician who we have seen play at The Guild has, at some point in the show, expressed what fabulous venue we have. The Guild has become a destination venue for incredible musicians. We feel so fortunate to have The Guild in our home town.
What MP could use more of us good restaurants. We love to invite out of town friends to shows at The Guild and usually have dinner and drinks out in MP beforehand. We struggle to find fun spots, with good food and a lively bar, that don’t break the bank. I have no doubt that the Clockworks Restaurant will fill a needed niche dining/bar experience and can support the us Guild and MP fans.
