Dear Council Members:
I am writing in full support of requested staffing increases for our Library and Community Services. As a member of the Menlo Park Library Foundation I am aware of the Librarys needs and with the new MPCC, it will not be possible to provide services at both facilities without the additional staff. It would be a shame to open the wonderful new facility in Belle Haven, without enough staff to serve the patrons. The effect would be that people will be disappointed and unserved, and not encouraged to return. The richness that the Library has would not be accessible to the public.
Our Library and our Community Services are core parts of our city and one of our most important assets. These facilities and programs are free to everyone and it is important that there be sufficient staff to serve them.
