Dear City Council members,
First, I would like to thank you for your dedication and hard work for our city.
I am writing to you today because I would like to encourage you to include SOLO in the contract for the Burgess Pool with Menlo Swim and Sports.
We have been swimming with SOLO for two years. As a family we have had a great experience with Tom and his team.
SOLO is a valuable asset to Menlo Park. As a swim team, SOLO is unique in that it creates a competitive but not overbearing or overly stressful environment. Coach Tom knows every child he coaches and (like an eagle) can spot an incorrect form from afar. He always tries to make the practice more fun, and always aims to make his students laugh.
Since we joined SOLO, our children have become stronger swimmers, they LOVE going swimming and chatting with their friends while they do their kicking laps. Most importantly for us, they are building a lifelong love for swimming as an exercise.
We asked our children how they would feel if they aren’t able to swim with SOLO at Burgess, they said that they will be very sad.
We hope that SOLO will stay in our community and inspire more children to swim competitively.
