Dear council member’s,
We are still struggling with requirements put on the project from building department which has taken from your approval to now.
Inspite of approved plans we were made to do ADA compliant changes after framing was done, which entailed architect, builder and lot of other plan change money and time.
Now we are facing the challenge of units ADA compliant vs Adaptable . We have one unit as compliant , but other units we need help with clarification- I do not want to live like a handicap person yet - the units can be converted to handicapp if needed in future.
We are retired seniors not big builders, This project has affected our health, depleted finances and put us in debt, paying $2000 per day in interest. We really look forward to residing in Menlo Park and offering my services for community health and wellness.
Please I am requesting to let us complete based on previous approved permits with new approved ADA plans - to implement what is practical to live in and to sell the units.
