This is now the second day in the last two weeks when it's taken almost 30 minutes to get from Durham to 101 going north on Laurel
Avenue. Why? Because CalTrans decided to close a lane, at rush hour. I guarantee that, like last time, if I drive over the bridge
at 11 am the lane will be open. CalTrans ▒▒▒▒▒-nilly closes lanes on the bridge with no regard for the residents of Menlo Park. As
usual, the City is completely AWOL on this issue, as it has been since the moment it rubber-stamped the bridge construction with
no real understanding of the impact of the construction or the new bridge on the residents of the city.
Could someone be bothered to call Caltrans and insist that they not close lanes at rush hour? Or at a minimum send out the PD to
direct traffic? The disregard shown by Caltrans for the residents of the city is breaktaking, and will continue until you do
something. Do something.
