To Menlo Park leadership
I continue to get increasingly concerned about Menlo Park roads being used as avenues for Stanford commuters. With the changes to Junipero Serra, I am concerned it will result in more commuters using Alpine Road to get to Stanford rather than Page Mill Road ( not to mention what seems like a more dangerous, narrow road now for cyclists with the barriers inserted). Stanford Avenue has speed bumps. Traffic traveling on Sand Hill Road and Alpine Road would seem to increase. I would greatly appreciate the City Council addressing these issues as it seems like Menlo Park and its residents are footing the traffic issues with Stanford expansion and changes in its roads. Although very inconvenient, perhaps even disallowing right turns off of Alpine Road to Junipero Serra and/or Sand Hill Road would be appropriate. Having a route off of Page Mill Road to campus could be helpful (without using El Camino). There needs to be some proactive re-routing of traffic.
Thanks for all your efforts for this great city!
