I'm a resident at 1731 Stone Pine Lane in Menlo Park and am writing in regards to the proposed hampton inn construction 1704 ECR
(developer Sagar Patel) which is less than 1 block from my home.
As with others in my community (>100 residents), I have significant concerns with these plans:
- it's completely surrounded by residential homes and ruins the ambiance of a peaceful, family, community with an overbearing
commercial presence- several of the proposed rooms overlook directly into people's homes and there isn't enough set back from the
property homes- the look and feel of the proposed plans looks incredibly cheap and will likely reduce the value of the homes in
the area - if it was spanish style similar to the legal firms nearby that would be better.- the press is already starting to buzz
about this situation and it will get worse;

occupancy significantly, there will no doubt be hotel guests filling into the restricted parking for residents less than 50 yards
from the hotel.- the third floor should be replaced completely with a trellis or landscaping
- the new plans involve removing 15 beautiful trees on the site of which at least 6 are heritage trees
