Subject: Second entrance to apartment complex in Suburban Park
Hello,
I apologize that I am tardy sending this email, but I nevertheless wanted to submit this email to request a second entrance to the apartment complex on Sheridan Rd. in Suburban Park. I believe relying on one entrance/exit presents a problem with emergency/fire access to the project residents and increases traffic/congestion/commute times for new residents and those in Suburban Park. A second entrance would:
* Increase fire safety for teachers and residents in surrounding areas by facilitating their escape from a fire using Van Buren and thereby avoiding approaching tiller trucks.
* Provide a second, shorter option for residents of the Sheridan project to access areas closer to Willow Road.
* Shorten commutes by auto, as well as cycling and walking time.
* Ease the impact on morning traffic backed up on Bay Road at the 5 way intersection (currently a 10 minute wait at morning commute)
