Dear Council Members,
It is of paramount importance that as community leaders, you take every available action to mitigate climate disruption. That is
why I'm strongly urging you to pass the ordinance requiring more EV charging in new residential developments.
Clearly we already beginning to feel the effects of changes to the climate. They will get worse, but we decide how bad they will
be through our decisions. The only responsible decisions are those that leave a more livable world for our children.
In addition, many working people would like to stop spending money on gasoline, which they know is harming our environment, as
well ascar maintenance and smog checks, butcan't because they don't have access to EV charging as they live in apartments. They
would like to have the choice to do better and save money, and we should provide that choice.

Policy makers must focus on making low carbon behaviors easy: "More often than not, it is actually behavior that determines
attitudes, not the other way around. If our lifestyles are far from climate-friendly, then our attitudes tend to follow." -
