. Thanks to supporters like you, the California Legislature passed AB 2601, a bill that will make sure charter school students get
equal access to sexual health education. Now the bill is being considered by Gov. Brown.
One in every 10 California students attends a charter school. Most are students of color, many live in low-income households, and
many live in communities plagued with systemic discrimination, lack of health care access, and lifelong health disparities.
Don’t deny charter school students comprehensive ▒▒▒ ed — ask Gov. Brown to sign AB 2601!

Join the ACLU and our partners at ACT for Women and Girls, Black Women for Wellness, and Planned Parenthood in asking Gov. Brown
to sign AB 2601 into law and provide charter school students equal access to the quality sexual health education they deserve.

Dear Aram,
Thanks to supporters like you, we secured one of the biggest victories in ACLU history in California last week! The legislature
passed a bill that will chip away at unjust laws that have shielded police misconduct for decades in California. Now it’s up to
Governor Brown to sign this important bill, SB 1421 (Skinner), into law.
TAKE ACTION
[https://ms.clicks.actions.aclu.org/t/gcH1AAdbaU0-qQC44iHKC9EUDeaCTZ~BVRYRtaaaaBJyBNZN0Bbaa?q=4_58545~amp;g=Xegsa4~2513dpXli.flp~amp;i=s~amp;u=]
The road to police accountability is paved with transparency. But unless the governor signs SB 1421, the public will continue to
be denied information about officers whose departments have found them guilty of egregious misconduct, like planting evidence or
sexually assaulting members of the public.
How can we hold law enforcement accountable for misconduct when we don’t know what misconduct exists?
California is on the brink of increasing transparency and accountability with SB 1421. We've gotten the bill to Gov. Brown – now
we just need him to sign it.
Ask Gov. Brown to sign SB 1421 in the name of police transparency and accountability.

Together we can do better for our communities and improve policing in California.
Sincerely,
Abdi Soltani [https://ms.clicks.actions.aclu.org/img/org_800/239511/abdi_soltani.jpg]
