Distinguished city council members,
I wanted to write a brief note of support for Drew Dunlevie and his partners for their epiphany in providing our community with a
venue to appreciate music, theatre, comedy, dance, and independent films that would otherwise never be seen. It seems to me that
as we guzzle through a firehose of technological advancement it is becoming easy to forget the plays, the small musical
productions, the various musical groups and other talented performers that at one point or another in our lives stirred our souls,
and may have provided some inspiration for who we are and what we can become. I hope that I can provide my kids, the way my
parents provided me the opportunity to see and hear talented human beings that can spur creativity, feelings, and a sense of
community that unfortunately we are forgetting. I challenge each one of you to remember that show, that performance, that concert,
that somehow changed you and allow this opportunity for not just our community but for everyone.
