Dear City Council Members,
I have written to you several times to express my support of the New Guild. I am looking forward to attending the meeting tonight
to continue to express my wholehearted support for the project. Thank you again for your good work on that!
I learned the Facebook project will also be discussed at the meeting tonight. As a parent of MAHS students, I have big concerns
about the impact of the FB project on enrollment at MA. I’d like to see an impact assessment be required of FB. Such large
unplanned growth would hugely negatively impact MA, our students, traffic accessing the school, school parking, our community. We
all know that the health of a community can be measured in its schools, and that will falter with large unplanned growth at an
already very large, maxed out, but still excellent, school.
I hope that you will require an impact assessment, followed by a meaningful plan from FB to address the impact of its expansion on
Menlo Atherton High School.
