Dear Council Members:
I second Steve Taffee’s comments.
I thought that a new library was put to rest. Please don’t conflate multiple projects to obscure buy-in. This manner of proposal
suggests the impetus came from staff – and not council – and isn’t in the capital improve plans. As a result of how this is driven
it appears that council members look weak.
Council should manage staff to focus on the primary issues affecting the public – like traffic – rather than projects that
ultimately require adding more staff.
I have previously asked staff for an itemization of how Measure T (the recreation bond) funds were spent – especially the third
tranche. No Response. This should be the first step.
