I am writing in support of the proposed conversion of the Guild into a music venue.
I am life long resident of the peninsula and currently live in Portola Valley. I love live music, especially artists who would be best seen in small venues such as the proposed Guild. I find that getting to most venues in the Bay area is tough, even those that are technically close on a map, like Shoreline. Having a local venue such as this would be a huge asset to the community and I count myself among those would readily pay top dollar to see great acts in order to avoid the drive and annoyance of trying to get to other locales.
I wholeheartedly support the efforts to bring music to our area and to make the Guild a lively center of downtown.
