To the City Council of Menlo Park,I'd like to reach out with a word of support for the New Guild Project. I was born at Stanford
Hospital in 1973 and grew up on the Peninsula watching how the values all around us have changed in more ways than one and not
really for the better.
Rarely does an opportunity come along that comes from the right place from good people with the honest intention of improving our
community while respecting our past. It doesn't hurt that the New Guild will surely stimulate surrounding businesses and inspire
us to clean up eye sores on a strip that hasn't changed since my 70's childhood.
The New Guild could be a beacon and first step towards thecleaner, prouder, and more vibrant cultural center that the families and
citizens of our community deserve. Let's not drop the ball on this one.
